About settled into the new house now, its been a month since I moved in.

I've been trying to avoid going out drinking too much seeing as I live literally next door to one pub and like 30 seconds walk away from another one. And both of them make nice food too so its way too tempting to just live on pub food. I swear when I move out this time next year I'm going to be in so much debt.

My housemate has been going crazy on DIY and fixing up the house. I've lost count of how many new locks hes installed now. We fixed up the curtains in my room yesterday so I now have curtains that are actually against the windows rather than several feet away from them. Basically my landlord is a lazy fucktard who couldnt be bothered to put up curtain rails properly.

We have DSL, and managed to convince our ISP to give us 8 IPs instead of one by claiming it was for "research into advanced networking". So now we have the fantastic shoenix.org and my machine is yaffle.shoenix.org.

It was my 21st birthday last week. I got a load of expensive presents from my parents, most notably a digital camera which I've been busy terrorising people with, mwhahah. My friend gave me this really cool tiny radio controlled car which was nice. Be sure to check out photos of the mewse conspiracy.

I'm working at the University over summer on "research" - specifically porting multiplayer games to IPv6, which is a pretty cool job. I've got sopwith and PrBoom running over IPv6 using SDL_net, which I've been porting. I submitted my SDL_net IPv6 changes to the maintainer on Friday, so hopefully that should go through soon. Its going to be a new major revision though unfortunately, which means breaking the API. But when thats all sorted SDL_net games everywhere will be able to use IPv6! hooray
