Weblog Entry - 08/02/2003: "try try try"

At work last night, or this morning, yeah this morning I guess, around 7am, ray showed up at the convenience store. I hadn't seen him in a while, and was going to call him at some point at some apartment in Ware that he had moved to during senior year at high school. Turns out he moved back home anyway, and he's getting along great with his parents now. He's working at walmart doing the same shift as I am, only getting paid more, and getting time and a half on sunday. He told me they're looking for another bunch of people to work that shift, basically stocking shelves. I'll stop by there and look into it. It'll be hard fucking work but worth the money.

The same night I saw his ex-girlfriend of around a year ago. I certainly didn't make it look like I recognized her. Oh yeah, I also saw this kid I hadn't seen since freshman year of high school. Steve Stengel. He had a twin brother Sean. Imagine two tall asshole german kids, who could never quite surpass the 'calling people faggots' level of wit. In all fairness, no one at my high school really did surpass that Mt. Everest of insult hurdles. Anyway, I'm sure he hated me, but now he looks like a stoner, bought a pack of Marlboro's and took off in some shitty jeep thing. Hah. He dropped out in ninth grade too. And I think his mother died. This is shit having to see people that know me at work. Walmart is looking better already.
