I booked Thursday and Friday off from work and tomorrow I'll be heading off to Leeds music festival for the next fourish days. We're heading off at 10:45am for some reason, which should mean that we arrive pretty early and get to spend the day relaxing (drinking). I wasn't going to go this year due to lack of money, but then my friends bought me a ticket for my birthday so it's all cool.

There's not a particularly fantastic lineup this year: Metallica are headlining the first day, I only really want to hear stuff from the Black Album, but maybe the newer stuff will be better live. Linkin Park are headlining the second day, say no more. Blur are headlining the last day, they're pretty good, but their guitarist left the band recently, and their latest album stuff sounds pretty shit.

I'll be back home on Monday and back to work on Tuesday. After working for eight weeks straight this is basically going to be my summer holiday, so it'd better be good.

Bands that may be playing, and if so you should see them : I think the delgados or snow patrol or ash are playing, they are all worth seeing live.

I'm off to glasgow to see the red hot chili peppers, queens of the stone age and the foo fighters.
