Grab streamweaver (windows) or icecream (nix) and record 5 hours or so of the drone zone or ABS for working to. When finished, grab cenart and do the same.
Evanescence are an undercover christian rock band!
My local council (tyne and wear) have followed durham's lead (or whoever started it) and are now doing bi-weekly recycling pickups. Tyne and Wear are also collecting plastic though. That 100% internal recycling thing didn't really work very well.
Coming soon: a picture of my desk.

I thought netmd was a great idea in concept - shame sony have done such a shit job of putting it into practice. The OpenMG (Open in what sense?) software is almost a textbook example of how NOT to design software, and because the ATRAC encoding is handled externally there's not a lot of chance that any 3rd-party people can release anything.
My brother has very recently bought a new minidisc player and the new version of the software is even worse. It's really hard to put into words just how bad it is. Lots of dodgy animations, no clear idea what to click to do what (concepts such as 'put this mp3 on this minidisc' are hidden behind more abstract music management crap).
I just got a lovely error : 'Import failed'. No idea why.

Today I bought a book and three CDs just because I was in a local shopping mall meeting a friend...
This week I have four mid-terms, two labs, and a seminar to study for... I think I'm dropping Philosophy of Environment because the mid-term is tomorrow night and I have only done about five out of the 20+ readings and I don't own the text book... and I'm not paying $120+ for a new text book... it's too late now. I have the seminar on design patterns to study for tomorrow and with my other lecture I won't have time to study for the Env mid-term. Turd. I hate school. I also hate that class. The lectures have all but one been irrelevent to the course because the prof let's all the pretentious vegetarian feminists spew their save-the-world bile. Bitches should back in the kitchen and bake some apple pies.

Saw my father today. We went out for breakfast and to Barnes & Noble. Newbury Comics was closed though :( He said I should go up to New Hampshire to have some sort of graduation party in a couple weeks. So apparently my relatives were not absolutely serious when they said they wouldn't give me money if I didn't go to the ceremonies. Well they have money and I need money so I hope it works out =]
At BN I bought a few saucy books:
Céline - Journey to the End of the Night [Trans. Ralph Manheim]
Word Virus - The William S. Burroughs Reader
Andrew McCall - The Medieval UnderworldTotal was about $40. They'll give the scanner a good workout for the next week or two.
Now I just wait for my Parker Fly Deluxe to come in the mail and I'll be complete.

I got a phone call at about 11am today, and when I crawled out of bed to answer it, it was a woman from the recruitment agency I signed up with on Tuesday offering me a job. It's a data entry job, I figure if I'm going to spend all day in front of a computer I may as well get paid for it. Its going to take me a few weeks just to earn enough to pay off my overdraft, but its a nice relief to know I will be able to pay rent next year. So in short: Hoorj!

I went to bed at around 3 AM last night, which would usually suggest I would wake up sometime around noon today. Instead I woke up at 9 AM. Usually I have some nice dreams, or at least vaguely normal ones. This one really did suck, though. [more]

Read this question, the answer is in the extended entry:
A woman's mother dies, at the funeral she sees a great looking guy, but she doesn't get his number. The next day she kills her sister, why?

"He stretched out his hand desperately as if to snatch only a wisp of air, to save a fragment of the spot that she had made lovely for him. But it was all going by too fast now for his blurred eyes and he knew that he had lost that part of it, the freshest and the best, forever."

can we ditch that iraq body count shit yet?
in other news, i'm back to my old routine: school, study, screw off and fail. well hopefully not that last part. I have a midterm tomorrow that I am prepared for. Ill prepared, but prepared nevertheless. I spend a lot of time over at friends places, doing things that are far more enjoyable than studying. [more]
